On The Home front with the National Archives
Pupils recently took part in a National Archives WW1 Home Front session, where they explored what an archive is and why it matters. They were introduced to original historical sources and learned how archives preserve real stories from the past. Through engaging activities, pupils examined documents, photographs, and records from the First World War, helping them build a deeper understanding of life on the home front. The session also highlighted a range of resources available to support further learning and curiosity. It was a fantastic experience that brought history to life and encouraged pupils to think critically about evidence and the past.
