On Thursday, our young carers took part in a fully funded First Aid Training workshop delivered by Daisy First Aid. This hands-on workshop focused on empowering our young carers—giving them the knowledge and confidence to support others while also looking after themselves.

During the session, students learned how to:

• Recognise when someone is unconscious
• Manage a casualty and maintain a safe airway (including recovery positions)
• Perform effective CPR
• Safely use a defibrillator
• Treat bleeds and minor injuries
• Respond to burns
• Help someone who is choking

We were incredibly proud to provide this opportunity to support our young carers in their vital roles. The workshop was engaging, practical, and empowering—and our students left with increased confidence and skills that could one day save a life.
