The Big Anti-Bullying Assembly
In a nationwide study by The Diana Award, 51% of young people said they were worried about being bullied and 34% said they were worried about returning to school after lockdown. With this in mind, our students will be taking part in ‘The Big Anti-Bullying Assembly’ next week. This is a celebrity-packed virtual event aimed at empowering children across the country to tackle bullying and promote their mental health.
Top tips to be an Anti-Bulling Upstander:
- Challenge any harmful or offensive behaviour you see or hear while making sure you stay safe
- Don’t like or share any hurtful content you see online
- Offer your support to anyone you think may be experiencing bullying behaviour. Even just asking ‘how are you?’ or sending a message of support can make a big difference.
- Spread positivity both online and offline
Remember, if you feel that you are being bullied, the most important thing is to tell someone about it.
