Some of our Year 10 pupils visited Intelligent Steel Solutions to learn how the skills and knowledge developed in their Geography and Engineering lessons can benefit them in their future careers. They were spoken to by Quantity Surveyor, Victoria Jelly, who was able to share information on modern construction techniques, types of job roles within this industry and the knowledge and skills required to take on any of these roles; before taking us on a tour of the factory. Pupils were also able to see examples of components which make up the structures and a small module home prototype designed for housing. Miss Laws and I loved the High Vis vests, and the selection of pastries and juice were also welcomed!
