Sandhill Scholars Discover New Subjects

Sandhill View Scholars payed a visit to Southmoor to experience life in sixth form. They took part in a very exciting Biology lesson where they learnt about DNA and made models. They looked at the specification for A-level Biology and how it was building on their learning at GCSE. In the afternoon they had an extremely interesting Anthropology lesson where they learnt about what we can learn from historic cultures and tribes. They considered why symbols were so important in religion and the meaning of them. Finally, students learned more about the Oxnet program and how this could help them develop their university applications.
