RISE are launching our virtual Leadership and Volunteering Programme for young people across Northumberland and Tyne & Wear. They are working in partnership with the Youth Sport Trusts Young Coach Academy and Step Into Sport to deliver a fully paid for programme, supporting young people in our area to gain skills, knowledge and confidence in leadership and volunteering, in addition to providing a range of experiences to take them forward into future opportunities.  

The sole aim of the programme is to upskill young people (Year 8 – Year 13) in becoming future leaders/coaches/activators who will in turn be able to complement the school workforce in delivering activities to their peers either in a school setting or their local community.   

The programme will be delivered all online, with the responsibility of communication and notification coming from RISE. The students will receive a Handbook which will be delivered to their home address after sign up and a series of launched videos via the RISE Youtube channel will support the delivery of the course. There will be a series of seven sessions in total
