Promoting Positivity
Last week in assembly we were once again happy to welcome back Andy from Wearside Youth for Christ. Andy gave one of his typically animated assemblies about positivity, optimism and hope. After challenging our student volunteers to a tricky task of using chopsticks to lift Maltesers from a bowl, Andy highlighted how, even though something might be difficult – like lifting Maltesers with chopsticks for example – you should do your best to find the positive aspects in everything to help get you through. This expanded to the idea that some people are naturally more optimistic than others and that those who are more of the ‘glass half empty’ disposition might need to lend some of this positivity from the people around them to support their outlook on life.
Thank you once again to Andy for joining us and sharing your message.
