Out in the Field
Although the pandemic has temporarily made field trips and external visits untenable, we have been making the most of the early spring weather and getting some of our students learning outside in the school grounds.
Year 7 have conducted a Microclimate investigation in our school grounds. They predicted which areas would be the warmest, coolest, and windiest. They then went out in classes to collect data from five different sites in the school grounds by measuring the temperature and wind speed of each location. Meanwhile in Science, Year 9 did a quadrat study of the biodiversity of selected areas of our school yard. Well done everyone!
