On An Energy Quest

Our Year 9’s had a visit from ‘Energy Quest’ to get them thinking like engineers and come up with solutions to problems. The main problems were charging a phone with limited resources and making clean water from river water.  The students were quick to make acid batteries from oranges, but every group came up with different solutions to filtering water.

Also, in Science, some of our Year 7’s were challenged to make a rainbow using an acid, and alkali and universal indicator. As you can see there were some impressive outcomes to the challenge and every student communicated well.
