We are very excited to announce that Sandhill View Academy have been offered 18 fully funded spaces on the DesignLab project, a scheme encouraging young people to engage in the creative industries across the UK. As part of this, Year 10 art and photography students will take part in three workshops in June and July at the National Glass Centre in Ceramics, Glass Blowing and Computer Aided Design to create their own sculpture inspired by the ‘Memphis Design Movement’. To prepare them for this fantastic experience, students attended the Victoria and Albert (V&A) museum in London for a day of making with artists.
