GCSE Results Day 2021
Big GCSE Success for Sandhill View Students
We were delighted to welcome our Class of 2021 back into Sandhill View to collect their well-deserved GCSE results today.
There was a wonderful atmosphere as students celebrated receiving excellent grades. Sandhill View continued on an upward trajectory in results and saw 62% of students securing a standard pass in both Maths and English, with 43% securing a strong pass, the number of students achieving the top grades in English and Math saw an all time high. Students and their families were rightly very proud of their achievements.
Headteacher, Joanne Maw said:
‘The way our staff and students have responded to the uncertainties, disruptions and late changes in the examination system has been nothing less than impressive. The process for collecting and verifying evidence for this exam system has been incredibly rigorous and today presents a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the hard work of staff and students, as well as the tremendous support from parents, that has led to these wonderful achievements. We wish everyone the greatest of success in the future.’
Particular mention for an extraordinary set of results must go to Finlay Anderson and Leona Barker, who managed an astonishing 9 or more Grade 9s and are surely destined for future success. Well done!
Congratulations to all of our students who collected their results today, we look forward to hearing from many of them again as they join The Sixth Form at Southmoor to take their next steps.
