Both students and staff celebrated ‘World Book Day’ in school through various activities. All Year 7, 8 and 9 students received a book token which can be used at any participating book store to get either a free World Book Day book or get £1 off a book their choice. All students completed a World Book Day quiz during form to guess the staff members hiding behind their favourite books and in English some KS3 students designed their own National Book Token to be entered into a national competition.  A great effort was made by some members of staff came to school dressed as one of their favourite characters from a book in honour of World Book Day.
