A Weird Trip to the Theatre
We had a fantastic opportunity to be among the first in the world to attend a showing of the brand-new British pop-powered musical called Weird at Newcastle Theatre Royal. KS4 students and their parents attended the trip to watch the show which follows the story of Shakespeare’s Macbeth but reimagined through the eyes of the ‘Weird Sisters’. It was wonderful to be able to see the show live on stage and it was great for revision for GCSE English Literature. The show is produced by Michael Harrison who is from Newcastle and he wanted to collaborate with the theatre to allow North East school children to attend the first five performances for free.
