A Taste of Spain
Last week almost 50 of our students from Year 7 up to Year 10 took the chance to test out their Spanish by visiting a Spanish restaurant, El Torero, in Newcastle. The students were treated to a tapas menu that included patatas bravas, albóndigas, chorizo, croquetas, pan y ali oli, paella and pollo empanado (potatoes with spicy sauce, meatballs, chorizo, cheese croquettes, bread and garlic mayonnaise, paella and breaded chicken). It was a great opportunity for them to try some traditional Spanish food and even attempt conversations with the Spanish speaking staff at the restaurant. The children were an absolute credit to the school, ate loads and even started to clear up the tables after themselves at the end of the meal!
