We were delighted to welcome Sunderland football legend, and natural born leader, Kevin Ball to Sandhill View Academy to preside over the official opening of our new ‘Bridge’ provision.  

The Bridge is a brand-new facility within the school, created to help us fulfil our ambition of being a truly inclusive school. The Bridge boasts a specially designed suite of rooms, allowing for group study, with access to a range of indoor and outdoor practical and vocational learning spaces. It is managed by specialised staff who design a bespoke curriculum tailored to the needs of individual pupils from across our local area who, for one reason or another, find classroom-based learning challenging. We know that by providing the right environment, curriculum, and specialist teaching all of our pupils can develop the skills needed to fulfil their potential, rather than be limited by life’s challenges.
