A Creative Careers Carousel at Ulshaw
Last week, Mr. Sanderson and our students swapped the classroom for the stunning Ushaw Historic House and Gardensin County Durham. Against the backdrop of this former monastery, students took part in a Creative Careers Carousel, discovering opportunities in the dynamic creative industries.
The historic setting inspired focus and curiosity as students rotated through interactive workshops, seminars, and presentations. They engaged with industry professionals, asked thoughtful questions, and explored pathways from university courses to apprenticeships. One presenter even noted that our students were among the most engaged of the day.
The creative sector is one of the fastest-growing in the UK, and events like this aim to spark ideas about turning talent and passion into future careers. A huge thank you to the team at Ushaw and to our students for representing the school so brilliantly.
