This week all of Year 9 attended Newcastle university for a higher education experience day. They spent time learning about opportunities at the university and what qualifications they would need to get there. In groups we looked around the campus at the different departments, unique buildings and library. They worked in groups doing challenges including ‘egg drop’ which they enjoyed very much.

They also learnt about entrepreneurship and what this involves and what skills would be needed to be successful. They became their own entrepreneurs and set up a business selling a toy, all having their own job role and contributing in different ways.
