Wonder Challenge Winners
Mrs Parker entered a group of Year 8 pupils into the Northeast Wonder Challenge way back in October. After successfully passing the two rounds, Sandhill View were amongst other schools invited to the grand finale. Pupils worked hard to build a 3D model for our sustainable transport idea and created a presentation to ‘sell’ our design. The judges were impressed by the knowledge, design and enthusiasm shown. They commented on their dedication to the challenge using their own time to complete every assignment, and were very impressed with the idea linking to Sunderland’s shipping building heritage.
The judges were extremely impressed with the passion for improving the lives of people in and around Sunderland now and in the future through the creation of a sustainable tram system. As a result, Sandhill View were crowned WINNERS!
