Girls Get Set: A Year of Success
Last Tuesday saw the final celebration of the year-long Girls Get Set challenge. As a result of their hard work and commitment, our Year 8 participants received their Bronze Industrial Cadet Award, while our Year 10 students achieved their Silver Industrial Cadet Award.
Throughout the day, the students took part in a range of exciting engineering activities, including designing and building model PIGs (Pipeline Inspection Gauges) to travel through a pipeline and testing their ability to complete various challenges, including a virtual climb. They also had the opportunity to build sensors, analyse data, and speak with women from the company about their careers and job roles.
The girls were an absolute delight to take and represented the school exceptionally well. They should be incredibly proud of their achievements and were a real credit to the school.
