All young people in England must continue in education or training until 18 years of age
Young people have the following choices at the end of year 11:
This does not necessarily mean staying in school; young people have a choice about how they continue in education or training, which could be through:
• Full-time study in a school, college or with a training provider.
• Full-time work or volunteering combined with part-time education or training.
• An apprenticeship.
Throughout the year, we also invite representatives from local universities, colleges, apprenticeship and training providers to meet our students. Year 10 students also visit local colleges in their summer term. Our annual Careers Fair in November also enables all students from Yr 7 – Yr 11 to meet representatives from these sectors.
