Lets Celebrate!
We launched our annual awards season this week with a series of celebrations for students across Years 7, 8 and 10, recognising their outstanding achievements throughout the academic year. Each ceremony was a great success, with an incredible turnout from parents and carers who came to share in the pride and joy of their children’s accomplishments.
Celebrating our students’ success is always a highlight of the school year. These events not only honour individual effort but also highlight the positive impact the Academy is having on students’ lives—fostering a sense of achievement, aspiration, and pride.
This year, we once again presented our SHV1000, 2000 and 3000 award, our 95/95 and 100/100 awards as well as acknowledgment of extra-curricular effort, recognition for most improvement and, of course, our ‘Mary Poppins’ award for those students who were ‘practically perfect. Along with these awards our form tutors awarded their choice of two students in each group who have shown the best attitude to learning.
For our Thursday evening ceremony for Year 10 we marked our student’s move up into their final year at Sandhill Hill View with an Oscars style ceremony. Guests were treated to a drinks receptions and enjoyed a ceremony filled with lots of delight, smiles and laughter as well as celebrating all the hard work Year 10 have put in during their first year of GCSEs. A special shout out to our amazing singers for the evening Kennedy S, Macie M, Jaxon D and our fantastic drummer Peyton L.
Well done to all of our fantastic students!
