Deaf Students’ Creative & Active Week
Last week, our Deaf students have enjoyed a busy and inspiring programme of activities. They visited friends in the local community at the tennis centre, where they played tennis and enjoyed socialising with both old and new friends. It was a wonderful opportunity to strengthen connections and celebrate our Deaf community.
Students have also been working with local Deaf artist Paul Miller, who runs @RoryStudio. Through a series of engaging workshops, they explored expressive language, British Sign Language (BSL), art, drawing, storytelling, and design using a range of materials. These sessions have encouraged creativity, visual expression, and collaboration, while also supporting learning across other curriculum areas.
Well done to all the students for their enthusiasm and creativity throughout the week!
