Deaf Awareness Week is an annual event that aims to raise awareness about the Deaf community, the language, culture, and history. This week-long event provides an opportunity for individuals and organisations to come together and support the Deaf community, learn about their experiences, and work towards a more inclusive and accessible society. We encouraged all students to consider and celebrate deaf culture around school this week as well as enjoying a Deaf Awareness Coffee Afternoon where we invited deaf students, alumni, parents and colleagues into our Deaf Resource Base to enjoy some cake, chat and take part in some fun games with prizes including Deaf bingo!
