Last week at Sandhill View Academy marked our annual careers fair. This year, we welcomed an even greater number of providers from across the country to engage with our students and Year 11 providers.

This included all local colleges and universities, as well as representatives from York and Sheffield. We showcased a wide array of providers, such as Unipress, Stagecoach, Hays Travel, NHS, HMRC, and many others. Additionally, we had the Army, Royal Navy, Air Force, and Police participating in the fair.

The opportunities presented were exceptional. We felt immense pride as we observed our students in Years 9, 10, and 11 interacting positively with the providers. They posed questions and participated in a prize draw. They left with leaflets, brochures, pens, and various stationery items. The students engaged in educational and professional discussions, significantly enhancing their confidence in conversing with adults.

We were delighted to see a substantial turnout of Year 11 parents at the session. The providers expressed that they found this experience to be highly valuable for discussions with both students and parents, and we sincerely appreciate your attendance and support.
